The HP DeskJet 2827e is the 2025 refresh of HP's bare-minimum home AIO inkjet — print, scan, copy, and not much else. Print speed is 7.5 ppm black and 5.5 ppm color (ISO), first page out about 15 seconds, monthly duty cycle 1,000 pages. Paper capacity is 60 sheets in, 25 sheets out, max size legal (8.5 x 14 in). Connectivity is single-band Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n with HP's self-healing Wi-Fi (the most useful upgrade over older models — recovers after router reboots without you touching it), Hi-Speed USB 2.0, plus AirPrint, Mopria, and HP Smart for mobile. The scanner is a flatbed CIS only (no ADF), duplex is manual, and the control panel is icon LEDs (no touchscreen). The thing buyers regret: activating HP+ to grab the 3-month Instant Ink trial, then learning the printer is permanently locked to original HP cartridges. The other regret: assuming this would handle a home office workload.
