The HP Color LaserJet Enterprise 6700dn is HP's faster single-function color laser — same chassis as the 5700dn but tuned for higher volume and higher speed. It prints letter at 52 ppm (also 52 ppm A4) in both black and color, with a 6.5-second first-page-out and 1200 x 1200 dpi resolution. Standard paper capacity is 650 sheets across the 550-sheet Tray 2 and 100-sheet multipurpose, expandable up to 3,850 sheets with the optional 2,100-sheet high-capacity feeder. Duty cycle is 100,000 pages a month, and HP's recommended range is 2,000-14,000 — meaningfully higher than the 5700dn's 10,000 ceiling. The 4.3-inch color touchscreen runs FutureSmart 5, and HP Wolf Security (Sure Start BIOS self-heal, Memory Shield, run-time intrusion detection) is standard. Connectivity is Gigabit Ethernet plus USB 2.0/3.0; Wi-Fi/NFC is the optional Jetdirect 3100w. The thing buyers regret: ordering this when they actually wanted scanning. If anyone in the office scans more than occasionally, get the 6800dn MFP instead — same chassis, scanner included, similar duty cycle.
