The HP Color LaserJet Managed MFP E78630dn is the mid-speed (30-ppm) configuration of the E786dn series — the non-Flow A3 color floor-standing MFP for departments of 15-60 users that need in-house tabloid color and HP enterprise security at a lower price than the equivalent Flow z model. It prints and copies at 30 ppm in both black and color, scans at 90 ppm / 180 ipm duplex via a 200-sheet single-pass ADF, and is rated for a 130,000-page monthly duty cycle with HP recommending up to 20,000 pages/month for sane toner economics. Standard paper capacity is 1,140 sheets across three trays, expandable to 3,140 with the optional 2x520 dual tray. The 10.1-inch color touchscreen handles standard scan-to-network, USB, and SharePoint workflows. HP Wolf Security (Sure Start BIOS, run-time intrusion detection, Memory Shield) is the reason most of our legal and gov customers pick this over the Konica or Canon equivalents. The dn vs Flow z difference: the z model has 240 ipm scan, embedded OCR (PDF, RTF, HTML, CSV), pull-out keyboard, and HP Workpath. The dn skips those for a few thousand off the lease cost. The thing buyers regret: paying for color they don't print. If your color volume is under 10% of total, look at the mono E73130dn instead — same chassis, much lower toner cost.
