KIP 7900 Wide Format Printer
The KIP 7900 is a high-volume single-function 36-inch monochrome plotter delivering 13 D-size (A1) prints per minute and roughly 4,680 sq ft per hour at 600 x 1800 dpi. It runs LED electrophotography with an organic photoconductor and a closed toner system, and ships with 4 roll decks holding 500 ft each — enough for an operator to load once in the morning and not touch media until late afternoon on most days. It's a print-only unit (no scan/copy), aimed at production print shops and large AEC firms with a separate scanning setup. PrintNET handles AutoCAD, PDF, TIFF, and PostScript natively. Buyers most often regret: at 600 x 1800 dpi standard, the 7900 prioritizes throughput over resolution — shops that wanted both speed and 600 x 2400 dpi crispness should have looked at the 7970 or 7972 instead.
