The Zultys ZIP 45G is the workhorse Gigabit phone in the lineup — 21 programmable keys, a 3.7-inch backlit graphical LCD (monochrome, not color), and dual Gigabit Ethernet ports. It's the phone you put on the desk of someone who handles real call volume but doesn't need a touchscreen or color display. HD voice quality is noticeably better than the entry-level Z 21i, and the dedicated headset port with EHS support means wireless headsets work without fighting you. It plays nicely with the Zultys ZAC unified communications app for desktop call control. The 21 keys handle most receptionist and sales rep workflows, and you can add the ZIP 450M expansion module if someone needs more BLF lines later. The thing buyers regret: not realizing the display is monochrome until the box is open. If you wanted color, jump to the Z 23GE or ZIP 47GE. Also missing: built-in Bluetooth (the 47GE has it, the 45G doesn't) and any video capability. This is a Zultys MX phone — don't buy it for a Cisco, 3CX, or generic SIP setup expecting full feature parity.
